Maschine 1.0 was fun, but it wouldn't have sold as much if it weren't developed all the way to version 2.8 (including a reasonable fee for the 2.0 upgrade). But I'm glad that NI doesn't have this business mentallity. I guess as user you pay for the product as is promised by the company, so if Serato Sample is as advertized, then there's no reason to be annoyed. Perhaps Serato is happy with the current version of Serato Sample and they have no desire for further development. That these user suggested improvements will add to the value of their product doesn't seem to care them very much. If you want more, then they'll happily customize it for you personal needs for a certain prize. There they'll develope version 1.0 and just add bug fixes and perhaps some improvements as the next update.
From my experience I know in other areas this is not the case.
